According to the different production methods to classify the prototype

The prototype is divided according to the method of making, can be divided into manual prototype and CNC prototype:

(1) manual prototype: The main workload is done by hand. Manual prototype sub abs prototype and sludge prototype

(2) CNC prototype: The main workload is done by CNC machine tools. According to the equipment used, it can be divided into laser prototyping and machining center (CNC) prototype and RP prototype (3D printing).

A: RP Prototype: The prototype is mainly produced by 3D printing technology. Prototypes made by laser rapid prototyping are commonly called SLA prototypes, but laser rapid prototyping is one of 3D printing.

B: CNC prototype: the prototype is mainly produced by the machining center.

RP prototype has its advantages compared with the CNC prototype:

The advantages of the RP prototype are mainly its rapidity, but it is mainly formed by pile-up techniques. As a result, the RP prototype is generally relatively rough, and has certain requirements on the thickness of the product, for example, the wall thickness is too thin to produce.

The advantage of a CNC prototype is that it accurately reflects the information presented on the drawing and that the surface quality of the CNC prototype is high, especially after it has been finished with surface coating and screen printing, even more brilliant than the mold produced. As a result, CNC prototyping is increasingly becoming the mainstream of prototyping.
